Here at Lang Atholl Experience, we know how important it is to not only experience new countries, but to also capture them forever in the form of a photograph. We have put together the Photographer’s Tour of Ireland which is now bookable on our website and allows you to experience the best of Ireland.
A sneak peek at some of the locations which we have chosen due to their undeniable beauty include The Dark Hedges, Doonagore Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, Muckross Lake, Dunquin Pier, Cobh Town Harbour and many more.
The Dark Hedges:
The Dark Hedges have been an awe-inspiring tunnel made out of beech trees for two centuries now and have featured in Game of Thrones. Located only an hours drive from the Northern Irish capital of Belfast. The hedges are also located a 30 minute drive from the Giant’s Causeway, often known to the Irish as the 8th natural wonder of the world.
Doonagore Castle:
This 16th century tower provides some of the most photographable views over Doolin Pier and the Atlantic Ocean while being stunning to photograph itself. Doonagore Castle should be visited on the same day as The Cliffs of Moher which are listed below.
Cliffs of Moher:
The cliffs reach up to 214 meters up from the surges of the ocean. These stunning cliffs were used in Harry Potter during the filming of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Set on the western coast of County Clare these cliffs are located only a short distance from the beautiful towns of Lahinch and Doolin. While in Clare you may also wish to visit The Burren.
Muckross Lake:
Muckross Lake within Killarney National Park is Ireland’s deepest lake, reaching to 75 metres in parts. Situated within Killarney National Park the Muckross Estate also accommodations Ross Castle. The national park is visited frequently due to its positioning on the Ring of Kerry.
Dunquin Pier (Cé Dhún Chaoin):
This dramatic Pier is part of The Dingle Peninsula and is arguably one of the most popular stops on the Wild Atlantic Way. On route to this location you will traverse the Dingle Peninsula which is literally a drive through history with many neolithic sites to see during your journey. The town of Dingle is also a must visit, this colourful seaside town boasts many photo locations of its own.
Cobh Town Harbour:
This is famous for being the final port of call for the Titanic and is the world’s second largest natural harbour behind Sydney Harbour. The town of Cobh is incredibly colourful and can be argued as one of the most beautiful in Ireland. This hidden gem in County Cork is a must see if you are venturing to the South of the Emerald Isle.
We look forward to welcoming you to the stunning country of Ireland soon so you might experience these gorgeous sights for yourself.
