The Solheim cup is the peak of woman’s golf. The best female golfers from the USA and Europe go head-to-head in the most thrilling and competitive tournament. It will be one the biggest golf events of 2019 and will be hosted at the prestigious Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course, host venue of the 2014 Ryder Cup.
What is The Solheim Cup?
It is a tournament which takes place every two years and is contested by teams of 12 players representing Europe and the United States. It was founded in 1990 by the golf club manufacturer Karsten Solheim – hence the name: The Solheim Cup. It will return to where it all began, in Scotland, known by all as the ‘Home of Golf’.
When and where does the tournament take place?
From September 9th to the 15th 2019, Gleneagles will hold the great Solheim Cup. The resort will welcome guests form all over the world to come together to watch the competition.
