You will arrive into Edinburgh International Airport and be welcomed by one of our representatives. They will assist you with any bags and luggage and take you into the historic capital.
You will spend the evening at the Fingal, a luxurious floating hotel located on Edinburgh’s waterfront. Full of history, the Fingal began its life as a lighthouse tender and has now been transformed into a spectacular boutique hotel. You will be staying in one of their unique luxury cabins. On board is The Lighthouse Bar which is designed to provide guests with a relaxed sense of luxury. This day will be spent recuperating from your travels where you can relax or explore Edinburgh’s vibrant waterfront.
After Breakfast you will make the short journey to South Queensferry.
Upon arrival, you will take a private boat tour and travel under the Bridges and explore the wildlife and history of the islands.
You will dock at Inchcolm Island, which is home to a 12th century Abbey you can explore and take in the beautiful scenery surrounding you.
You will sail under the iconic bridges and return to South Queensferry. From here you will head by car to the heart of the capital City.
You will spend the late afternoon walking the historic cobbles on Edinburgh’s ‘Royal Mile’, with galleries, shops and sites aplenty.
In the evening you will dine by the shore in one of Edinburgh’s famed Michelin Star restaurants.
You will begin your day exploring the historic capital city and visit some of the most famous sites: Edinburgh Castle, Scott Monument and Holyrood Palace. Here at Lang Atholl we will create the ideal city tour to fit to your interests to ensure your time in Edinburgh is one that will be remembered.
That afternoon you will begin your journey to St Andrews which stands proudly on the east coast of Scotland. Offering panoramic views out across the North Sea it is a must on your majestic coastal drive. Upon arrival in St Andrews you will be able to walk the beautiful grounds of St Andrews Cathedral. You will also have the opportunity to walk along the historic streets and stop off at the quaint, unique shops. Your accommodation for the evening will be at The Old Course Hotel, known for bordering the renowned Road Hole of the famous Old Course. You will have the breathtaking views over the West Sands Beach and the stunning coastline.
After your morning looking out to the stunning Scottish Coastline, you will being your journey up to Aberdeen. Before reaching Aberdeen, you will visit Stonehaven, a beautiful harbour town. You will explore Dunnottar which is a romantic and historically significant castle perched on high cliffs. For lunch, you will go to the Tolbooth, one of Scotland’s best seafood restaurants. It is situated on the northern harbour wall where you can take in the beautiful views over the charming harbour.
Guaranteeing outstanding luxury and service, you will be staying at MacLeod House & Lodge Hotel. It is located just outside Aberdeen right on the Scottish North-East coast amidst woodland. You will stay in a luxurious guest room and experience spectacular dining at their award-winning restaurants.
You will begin your day by visiting Duff House which is located in Banff. It is home to a collection of fine paintings and furniture, you will be able to stroll around and take in all of its history. The award-winning Benromach distillery will be your next stop of the day. Admired worldwide for their whisky expertise, take a tour of the distillery with a tasting of their outstanding single malt scotch. Before arriving at your accommodation for the evening, you will visit Brodie House. The castle allows you to step back in time when the Brodie family were one of Scotland’s most well-known families.
You will stay at the outstanding Boath House & Restaurant. The service provided allows you to feel like it is your home-from-home allowing you to fully relax and take in the beauty of what surrounds you. Dining at Boath House is an experience not to be missed as they serve seasonal exquisite menus created with local, fresh ingredients.
You will begin your scenic drive to Torridon. You will have the option to stop off at Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield in the morning to take in the history. If this is not to your interest, the famous Glen Old Distillery is also an option en route to Applecross. It is situated in the Northern Highlands where you can explore the distillery and take a tasting of their famous whiskies.
You will stop for lunch in Applecross which is famous for the beautiful drive. The Applecross Inn is located with views across the Inner Sound of Rassay and is known for its outstanding quality and multiple awards. You will shortly after arrive at The Torridon which is situated in 58 acres of parkland and at the edge of a breathtaking sea loch. The Torridon is one that does not fall short on experiences and luxurious accommodation. Take advantage of the full array of activities available from mountain bike adventures to a stargazing experience.
You will wake to go explore the Isle of Skye which is known as a truly magical place. It is home to some of Scotland’s most famous landscapes and sites. You can stop and explore places like the Fairy Pools, Portree, The Old Man of Storr and many more breathtaking sites.
After a busy day of travelling, you will arrive at the outstanding Kinloch Lodge. You will be able to experience the comfort of highland hospitality as well as dining in their magnificent award-winning restaurant in the evening. A night in Kinloch Lodge is one which is truly memorable.
Day eight will see you embarking on the stunning drive to Fort William. Upon leaving The Isle of Skye you will stop off at Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most iconic castles in all of Scotland. En route to Fort William you may wish to visit The Glenfinnan Viaduct and catch a glimpse of the famous Jacobite Steam Train.
You will pass the iconic Ben Nevis, then drive through the majestic Glencoe where you have the opportunity to stop off at the Highland Folk Museum. Discover how Highland people lived and worked at this award-winning museum.
In the evening, you will be staying on a private island where you will discover the Isle of Eriska Hotel located on the West Coast of Scotland. You’ll experience breathtaking views overlooking Loch Linnhe accompanied with the dramatic Morven Mountains.
Taking a ferry from Oban, you will visit Tobermory of the Island of Mull. The harbour is famous for its colourful front buildings making it a perfect picturesque town. It was built as a fishing port and boasts a mix of shops, restaurants and hotels. You can take a tour of the Tobermory Distillery, visit the local shops or visit the 9-hole golf course with the panoramic views.
Once back in Oban you will have the opportunity to explore the seaside town. It is home to Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel, Oban Distillery and also McCaig’s Tower, a prominent landmark in the resort town.
Before returning back to The Isle of Eriska for a further evening you will have a dining experience at The Airds Hotel & Restaurant in Port Appin, taking in the outstanding views and watch the sun-set during dinner.
You will begin your day by driving to the stunning Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park where you will find thrilling history and wild scenery. Right at the heart of the park lies Loch Lomond itself, one of the largest and most beautiful in Britain. You will have the chance to take a cruise on the waters and admire the stunning scenery. You will be taken to the Boat House for lunch, a fantastic restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. Here you will be served fresh and locally sourced produce.
You will later arrive at the luxurious Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon. You will be able to experience their stunning country house which has received numerous awards for its style and service. Along with the hotel it is also proud owners of their award-winning Kintyre Restaurant where you can experience elegant, fine dining accompanied with impeccable service.
You will say your goodbyes to beautiful Scotland and be transported to either Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport for your departure.
